We have extensive experience of developing, writing and editing global ESP/ETVET courses for international publishers and implementing e-learning solutions (including mobile-first, blended learning and flipped classroom).

We also develop and conduct training courses for ESP/ETVET writers and teachers, and conduct consultancy work on course and curriculum design.

Day ELT Ltd is led by Jeremy Day, best-selling author of over 20 international ELT coursebooks, Series Editor of the 'Cambridge English for ...' series of ESP courses, and former Editorial Director of English360, a blended learning platform that specialised in ESP and business English.

Jeremy is supported by a network of experienced and trusted ESP/ETVET writers, subject specialists, editors, designers and content producers.

ETVET Course design consultancy

Case Study: Djibouti 2020-2021

Day ELT Ltd conducted a five-month consultancy for the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Djibouti, on behalf of the British Council.

The aim was to help the Ministry to create the country's first ESP/ETVET course, English for Transport and Logistics in Djibouti, for students aged 14 - 16 in vocational colleges.

During the consultancy, we trained a local writing team in ESP course design and materials development, and then supported them intensely as they were creating the course materials.

ESP Teacher training

Case Study: Iraq 2022

Day ELT Ltd led a teacher training event in Erbil, Iraq, on behalf of the British Council and LearnJam.

The aim was to train a group of teachers from three Iraqi cities to enable them to teach a course we had helped to develop, English for Freelancers. The course is designed to help people to find work and build a career on international tech freelancer platforms.

The teacher training course included a significant focus on the flipped classroom approach ... and how to make a success of it.

Curriculum development consultancy

Case Study: Egypt 2022

Jeremy served as a consultant on a project to develop a new English curriculum for Egyptian preparatory schools.

As part of this project, he travelled to Alexandria, Egypt, to present the draft curriculum to the CCIMD (Centre for Curriculum and Instructional Materials Development department), part of the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education, on behalf of York Press.

In addition to his work on the English curriculum, Jeremy has also been involved in developing a new Career Skills curriculum for Egyptian schools, as part of a major new focus on TVET.
